1.) In the book of Acts the New Testament Church was a powerful and exciting Church , they were more interested in the “Manifesting “ of the power of the Holy Spirit in their midst than maintaining a orderly worship service.
So what is the “Baptism “ of the Holy Spirit”? ……………………DO YOU KNOW?
It’s the second encounter with God, ( the first was your conversion) ,it is the equipping of the Christian with Gods power for service, it is the Spiritual baptism from Jesus Himself!
The primary purpose of the Holy Spirit in our lives is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, so if you ask God for the baptism in the Holy spirit that’s what you will receive , we have Jesus’s word for it. Luke 11 : 11-13.
2.) The work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer.
There are three main activities( A.) BIRTH. ( B) BAPTISM and (C) CONTROL .
BIRTH:
(A) CONVICTS ( Rom. 2 : 4).
(B) CONVERTS (Jn. 3 : 3 ).
(C) CONVINCES ( Eph. 4: 30 ).
BIRTH = GIFT= INDWELLING=VITALITY ( JOY.)
3.) BAPTISM:
(A.) BAPTISM( Acts. 2 : 4).
BAPTISM = GIFT=ENVELOPING=ABILITY (POWER.)
4.) CONTROL:
(A) CONTROL ( Gal. 5. 22-25.)
CONTROL=YIELD (TO BE)=MATUTITY=CHARACTER=CONSISTENCY=(FRUIT.)
1.) AT “BIRTH” I GET HIM.
2.) AT “BAPTISM” HE ENVELOPES ME.
3.) AT “CONTROL” HE GETS ME.
